COP29
Japan CCS exhibited a booth at COP29 Japan Pavilion.
The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 11 (Monday) to November 22 (Friday), 2024.
During this period, the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) set up the ‘Japan Pavilion’, a space for public relations to disseminate information about Japan’s superior technologies and initiatives under the theme of ‘Solutions to the World’. At the Japan Pavilion, there were on-site exhibitions and virtual exhibitions (online) of technologies, products, services, etc. that support the achievement of Japan’s long-term climate change mitigation goal of ‘net zero by 2050’, as well as global decarbonization and adaptation to climate change.
Japan CCS exhibited a both on-site in Baku and online and displayed information about the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project and the Integrated CO2 Ship Transportation Technology Development Project.
We had visitors to our on-site booth from both domestic and international government officials and negotiating delegations, as well as from research organizations and from oil and gas companies, showing a keen interest in our technology.
