Japan CCS presented at international conferences.
Japan CCS has been taking the opportunity to present at international conferences in order to share the knowledge and experiences of the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project to the international community.
Below are the conferences in which we presented virtually in August and September 2022:
■ 2022 Asia Pacific Forum for Sustainability-CCUS Forum
On August 13, Japan CCS presented at 2022 Asia Pacific Forum for Sustainability-CCUS Forum, with a presentation entitled “Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project – Key Results and Future Outlook”. The forum was hosted by the Association of Taiwan Net Zero Emissions (ATNZE) with the aim of discussing ways to accelerate CCUS deployment in Taiwan. A recording is available on ATNZE’s Facebook.
■ CEO Action Network Energy Sector Roundtables 2022
On August 24, Japan CCS presented at Malaysia CEO Action Network (CAN) Energy Sector Roundtables 2022/Session 2: Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) as a Technology Solution, with presentations entitled “How safe is CCS?” and “What is CCS Role in Achieving National Level Net Zero Target?”.
■ 2022 Asia Downstream Technology & Markets Conference
The Asia Downstream Technology & Markets Conference was held from August 31 to September 2, 2022. Japan CCS made a presentation entitled “CCUS Development in Japan and Tomakomai Project”.
■ UKCCSRC Autumn 2022 Conference – CCS: Multiple Options for Delivery
On September 7-8, the UKCCSRC Autumn 2022 Conference – CCS: Multiple Options for Delivery was held as a hybrid conference, and Japan CCS presented virtually in Plenary session 1 – International CCS Panel with a presentation entitled “CCS in Japan”.
