On August 3, 2023, JCCS gave a fun class at the 2nd “Let’s learn SDGs in the community! ~ one day summer science project” ~ held at Toyota Corolla Tomakomai showroom
An environmental event on the theme of SDGs and decarbonization was held in Tomakomai City, Hokkaido, and 19 local elementary school students (5th and 6th graders) participated.
On the day of the event, various programs, such as a class on the SDGs, an experiment to measure the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by cars, and an experiment to run a fan with bicycle power generation were held. JCCS gave a fun class on the theme “Global Warming and CCS” with an animation and a quiz, which was very popular. The participants were very active, quickly raising their hands to ask questions. There was also time for the participants to be reporters and make newspapers, and everyone put their own ideas in newspaper names and headlines.
